SINGLES on EDSA Make some noise

Off it goes on EDSA starting this 15th of August current year. People are overwhelmed, most drivers are stunned and even the singles scream for justice, uttering words that say, "Bawal na ang SINGLE sa EDSA"

Let's be clear on that, we're only pointing out the 'single-passenger-cars' or the 'driver-only-cars' not the literally single people who continuously humble themselves waiting for the 'right one' and live happily ever after. Although they can also drive their own cars on EDSA without any passengers, so please take a clear note of that.

The MMDA Regulation 18-005, "Ban on driver-only cars on EDSA" has created a bunch of mixed feedback from the public dividing opinions and thoughts that either favors it or go against it. A bigger percentage of the driving community respects the clean intentions of the authorities to solve the problem on EDSA and they are so delighted to see the results. We just hope it will be successful.

Meanwhile, those drivers who aren't in favor of the new regulation said that it will only worsen the alternate routes once it is implemented.

We'll see how it goes.. the MMDA spokesperson said on an interview. "While on the other hand there are solutions we suggest like "Car Pooling" that can come very useful in these times." she added.

Well, we better find a carpooling sidekick on our way to work soon if we choose not to hit the road earlier than 7 to 10 in the morning and compromise our after work plans from 6 to 9 in the evening.

Would the bigger percentage of the "Single-drivers" finally decide to settle down and plan for their future or will they stay single and find other alternatives? Are we crazy enough to accept changes or will there be new episodes of "break ups on EDSA"???

That depends... Let's leave the answer to our responsible driving skills... and we will survive the "road to terrible traffic-free EDSA".
